Lazy Eye Tetris 3D on Windows 8 Do you have a 3D Monitor or TV?

If you have a 3D display (monitor or TV) and you don’t want the play with the colors to adjust the game then now you can play the Game on Windows 8 with a 3D display (side by side technology)

(With built in helper settings (to fuse the images easier) what is adjustable: helper grid or helper border, for one side or for each side see on screenshoots)

  1. Balazs,

Thank you kindly for developing these awesome apps. You are the BEST !!!!

I have been using Lazy Eye Block Pro for about 1 year and the results are very impressive. The vision in my lazy eye has improved from 20/60 to 20/25. I am completely committed to keep going as obtaining depth perception and proper eye alignment, per a vision therapist I spoke to, will change the way I see the world, give me the ability to read with both eyes which will immensely speed up my reading and significantly improve my ability to focus and concentrate. It has been well documented that children with Strabismas and Amblyopia have learning disabilities, including slow reading and low comprehension. Sadly, based upon my own experience, these learning disabilities do NOT go away in adulthood.

Based upon the research from Dr Hess at McGill University per the link below, there are two crucial elements that must be in place for the software to have a significant therapeutic effect. First, Strabismas, the mis-alignment of the eyes, must be overcome by matching the patients mis-alignment. This is done by having the patient align cross-hairs which allows the lazy eye image to be moved horizontally and/or vertically. Second, Amblyopia, must be overcome by adjusting brightness (contrast). The lazy eye needs full brightness and the good eye should be given minimal brightness. These two parameters create a new environment for the brain to easily align and see images from both eyes.

Over time, as the brain is re-trained, vision clarity in the lazy eye improves (elimination of Amblyopia) and eye alignment improves (elimination of Strabismus), depth perception is developed, and focus / concentration vastly improves. Hence, the mis-alignment and contrast in the software needs to be lessened by the patient as improvements occur to continue the therapeutic effectiveness.

I am very excited about the Tetris 3D version as I assume it allows adjustments for eye mis-alignment which does not seem possible using 2D versions. Brightness / contrast can be accomplished with a bright color and a pale color. Tetris 3D would eliminate the complication of color adjustments. Furthermore, 2D color adjustments do not seem to be perfect as lighting in the room or viewing angle sometime allow the good eye to see a faint image of what the lazy eye is only suppose to see with reduces the therapeutic effect.

To my surprise, to use Tetris 3D, I was not able to find a 3D TV or monitor at any of the electronic stores I went to today. I will buy one online for about $370 and the electronic 3D glasses for about $50.

Meanwhile, could you please develope Tetris 3D for a smart phone? This would only require a Virtual Reality Smartphone Viewer (about $15 to $35) and Bluetooth Smartphone Gamepad (about $30). This version, I believe, would be a HUGE, HUGE success and thank you again for your GREAT and AWESOME software.

    Many thanks,
    Mike S.

    1. Thanks for your feedback I am glad to hear that and keep up the good work. I am not in contact with him but based on experiences If the mis-alignment is implemented in the game too then it not forces the eyes to be in the proper position enough just allow them to keep in the bad position what is not good. In the current way the eyes forced to align correctly without cheat. Both eyes should get the same input that is why we distinct exercises which are good for both eyes (like these games, 3D movies, brock string, fusion cards, etc…) or only for one (like patching) so according to this to use different brightness is not useful and no additional benefit from this. To start improving and give the proper stimulation for the eyes and show the brain the correct way how to use both eyes together my apps are good and vision therapy exercises but after these exercises or beside them you have to try start using your eyes together in the everydays also you can start using noraml 3D displays like monitor\Oculus etc with regular applications too. To keep up the improving it is a key to always try to find new and new exercies\stimulation and do what you feel is good for your eyes. I will take into consideration to make a virtual reality version of the game in the future. I hope I was able to give some useful advices.

      Kind regards, Balazs B.

  2. Balazs
Thank you for developing these awesome app.
Im not sure if im playing in the right way, when i start the game, the blocks dont fall where they have to, they re like floating, but them i start to see correctly , the blocks fall in the same place i choose for, im doimg it right? Sorry for my bad english, im playing with my laptop and 3d tv & active lensea

    1. Hi,

it sounds like your eyes have to warm up and get used to the new input what is normal with continous training that “warm up” time probably will reduce. Keep up the good work.

  3. Balazs, when I’m playing in the 3Dtv , the display in my computer is on and duplicate the image in the tv. When I put the lenses on, the 2 images that have been without the lenses turn and fuse into one, and on the sides of that image, I see shadows. But if i turn off the display on my computer and use the 3Dtv like a principal display. I don’t see the shadows on the side, the game is a little bit bigger and I don’t see any shadows. Wich one is the right way? I can send you photos, sorry for my English I hope you undestand

    1. Hi,

it is sounds a bit strange but nobody reported similary issue yet so it can be related to your setup settings. I would suggest to use the second option so use the 3D display as your primary display.

      Kind regards,
      Balazs B.
