What kind of 3D glasses can I use with Lazy Eye Tetris?

The question came up multiple times in email message so I think I should answer the question here in more details.

First you can find information about the proper glasses on the “Instructions” page I copy a snippet here:

If you use a pale-colored 3D glasses then It need more precise settings to separate the two eyes appropriately.
As I experienced that a more darker or high contrast 3D glasses easier to setup (maybe the red-green and magenta-green is the easiest).

You can play with the left right colors as you wish.
e.g: if you have an amblyopic left eye then you adjust the “left” word to be invisible for your left eye and “right” to your right eye then you will see the landing blocks with your left eye after it is easy you can change up the two side to use you amblyopic eye to see the falling block what is a bit harder so you can adjust the two color as you wish according to your capibilities

According to these you can use two color anaglyph glasses like red\cyan, magenta\green, red\green or if you use a 3D capable monitor or TV then the glasses what is belong to your device (e.g.: LG passive polaroid glasses).

I would like to suggest an ordered list about the anaglyph glasses what you can use. Of course not these are the only what you can use to be honest most of the anaglyph glasses should work at least I was not able to find one what is not worked and I tried 4-5 sort of, but as I mentioned on the instructions page can be a worse or better one.

You can use the following glasses with the android, windows 8 , windows phone version of the Lazy Eye Tetris:

1. 3D Deluxe Vision Glasses

$_57

order 1

2. Green\Magenta glasses

91Z1LortclL._SL1500_

order 1

3. Red\Blue glasses

41SUzjPIS0L

order 1

[alternative version only available for professionals] Vision Therapy Red\Green glasses

3239_5039_large

Vision Therapy glasses order 1 etc…

…and as a final advice for fine tune if you use the mobile version of the game then an AMOLED display is better than the simple LED displays for color calibration.

All glasses are great so I am sure everybody can find one what can use to play the Tetris game.

For the Windows 8 3D version of the Lazy Eye Tetris you should use the glasses what you got along with your 3D display device (monitor or TV).

Keep up the good work and I hope I was able to help in that question.

  1. Would using a phone with the LCD display work the same as amoled display. I know amoled display is better. I have a LCD display phone would I see improvement in my lazy eye with it. Lastly, I only use the 3d glasses only on the 3d version of the lazy eye tetris game.

    1. Yes all versions of the game will work with LCD I said that amoled is better because with amoled display it is easier to setup the colors properly but LCD is fine too of course.

  2. I just would like to ask if it is necessary to buy 3d mobile phones to be able to work on 3d glass. I have Moto G as cellphone and downloaded the app.

    1. No I hanve no experience with this, but I can imagine it if it can be used as a display then maybe you can use the Win8 3D version of the game (side by side 3d).(If not works you can refund the amount of the purchase within 1 hour through Win8 store If I know correctly)

    1. Hi,
use the first the Vision Therapy glasses this is the best I think so if you can choose I suggest to choose that but if you already have an anaglyph glasses that can be good too as you can adjust the colors for your needs.

      Kind regards,

      1. Thanks…I am residing in chennai,India..

Where and how I will get this glass??
Pls helpme in buying the glass

      2. Follow the link in the article they can ship abroad.
But as I wrote you can use any other anaglyph glasses. With VT glasses is the most easiest to setup the colors but any other anaglyph 3D glasses can be good.

  3. I’m trying the free version but my 3D glasses do not exclude completely the blocks. They see very clear, but they are invisible. Also my lazy eye is the left and I would like to see the falling … how do I invert colors of the blocks?

    1. Sorry…The blocks are very faded, but they aren’i invisible. The glasses lens don’t exclude completely blocks when I try to adjust it. Thank you if you help me.

      1. Hi,

this can be due to the contrast of 3D glasses what you use.

I was not able to make each colors totally invisible for the my other eye can I play the game?

If you have problems to setup the colors after you have read the instructions then you probably own a low contrast 3D glasses I would suggest one of these. A higher contrast glasses (more darker) more easier to setup the colors to be invisible, with a low contrast glasses you should choose a very bright color to accomplish that. This is why a high contrast or darker glasses fits better to the game. If you were able to setup the colors just you were not able to make completely invisible the blocks but you can see when you play with one eye or both eyes then you are good with the settings and you can play the game it will be beneficial just always pay attention what see and concentrate to use both eyes together.

Or you can buy a 3D glasses with better contrast:

The game works with any type of anaglyph 3D glasses. But if you want to make the color setup really easy then I suggest one of these glasses.

  4. I had strabismus of both eyes. Had surgery when I was 9. I see close with one eye and far with the other eye. My depth perception is off. Would this tetris game help me?

    1. Hi,

the game can help a lot on lazy eye and ambyopia I got many positive feedbacks that indicate better eye alignment and e.g. 20/400 vision what changed to 20/20. There are 2 or 3 who gave feedback that they did not improved, but in the feedbacks I get in general 95% positive feedback and people report improvements.

You have to be aware that with Vision Therapy as the game itself also a Vision Therapy like exercise can be improved that condition but it is a hard and long process to cure fully to get improvements is relatively fast weeks, months.
You also have to be aware that all people different so one react more one less there was report who told me that after just 3-4 usage in 2 weeks improved the eyes to close to perfect but of course it sounds extreme and great but can’t guarantee this for everybody so it is usually hard and long work.

To be aware of the whole process I also suggest to read through that book it gives a pretty good start point to understand the all situation:

and of course also can be helpful to read vision therapy related articles.

  5. Just started today with the Tetris program. I must say my lazy eye was actually getting a good workout. My left eye is currently 20/70 and right eye 20/20. I did have a bit of an issue but fixed it by having the falling blocks only be seen by the bad eye and it works just fine. I’ve read all of the comments and with my personal experience the vision does try to work together with the 3D glasses. I will give an update in the following months.

      1. I have been using this program for close to a year now. I have used the 3d Tetris along with a vision therapy program. My vision for my right eye was 20/20 and is now 20/15 and my left eye went from
20/70 to 20/40. Its a lot of hard work but its well worth it. 30 minutes in the am and 30 minutes in the pm. Consistency is key for gaining acuity.

  6. Ok I have a lazy left eye, the eye itself turns to the left it used to be straight sometimes but the vision in it was bad 20/40 If I close my right eye my left straightens but the cast to the left has increased dramatically over the years and now my eye is completely to the left it still straightens if I close my right etye but I’m practically looking in my own head (funny but not at the same time) my right eye which I called my good eye actually sees worse than my left now and I have to close my left eye to read and look at thing which never used to happen after all this my question is will this therapy help me will my eye regain a straighter position?:

  7. Hello,
I sent you an email 9 days ago to lazyeyegames@outlook.com and i didn’t got a reply still. This is what i wrote:

I just purchased last night the LazyEyeBlocks 3D app but i can’t set it up. I have a Samsung UE46F8000 tv which is 3D and a very performant pc. The tv came with this 3D glasses, SSG-5100gb. I kept trying last night to set up the game in order to play it bit without success. I don’t know what else to do. I see 2 screens of the app, one in which the blocks are falling and another where they are still. Should i see just 1 screen with te glasses in 3D ? I have ambyoplia at my right eye. Also following your instructions as into how to set up the colors, i cover my right eye and change the color of the LEFT label until i can’t see it with my Left eye, then i do the same with the Right eye. Is this correc t? Because in the end when i try to play the game i can’t see anything, not the falling blocks nor the standing ones. So how can i play if i make them invisible ? Please let me know what i can do. My tv and pc should be fine in terms of requirements. Thank you.

    1. Hi,

in case of the 3D version of the app the colors are not necessary to changed because it is only necessary on regualr displays like phone, tablet regular monitor/tv (with anaglyph glasses).
It is called 3D version because it uses the 3D capability of your 3D display. So choose whatever color you wish then activate the side by side option on your 3D displaying device.
Now the two individual sides should merge into one and you will see “ghost” images without your 3D glasses which came along with your 3D display.
After you have activated the side by side 3D then you should put up your 3D glasses and use the game this way.
I hope I was able to answer all of your questions

  8. hola buenas tardes, soy de argentina y mi hijo de 6 años tiene ambilopia del ojo derecho, necesito conseguir las gafas para jugar a estos juegos, pero aqui en argentina es muy dificil…. como puedo comprarlas?

  9. Hello,
When I play without my prescription glasses I have difficulty judging the placement of a block, as it’s too fuzzy. (It’s the same when I play Snakes). With my prescription glasses, it’s less fuzzy. My question is, which is the better exercise? With the blocks being more fuzzy, I’m forced to move my tablet around and even bring it closer to my face, so I’m worried that’s not helping and I’m wasting my time. Is it a better exercise by seeing clearer and playing with both my prescription and 3D glasses? Thanks.

  10. I have refractive eye glasses. Do you think it would be better to use the 3d glasses with my current refractive eye glasses (I found a pair of 3d glasses that seats on top of my current pair ) or use them without the my prescription glasses?

    Let me know. Thanks!
